I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.

Edit: Thank you for all who participated!  I'm loving all the entries and really need to take the time before I can come to a final decision.  Hopefully I'll be able to announce the winners within a week's time, if not sooner.  I'll personally contact each winner as well when the time comes.

What to Submit
Any kind of medium is allowed.  This means you can draw, paint, write, sculpt, or even dress up, so long as you're able to share what you've created.  You can enter as many times as you'd like, but you can only win one set of prizes!
All entries will be judged based upon creativity, expression, and technique.  Since this is for everyone to participate in, I will not be accepting any material rated higher than PG-13!

For first place, the winner shall receive:

Q: When you say "you can enter as many times as you'd like", what exactly do you mean?
A:  What it means is that you can submit more than one entry/submission for this contest.  Multiple submissions are allowed, but you can only win one set of prizes, if you're chosen as one of the winners.

Q:  You say that you'll allow any medium, but can I use more than one medium at once?
A:  Of course!  Any medium means any medium or any combination thereof.  Other possibilities would be animation, comics, music, videos, or even original dubbing.  However, I'm not sure how much can be done with this deadline, so please do what you think you can handle before time runs out.
